- Honest advice on scope and timeline, before any commitment.
- Founder-led from the start, the Principal Architect on every project.
After you send this
What happens after you book.
Your enquiry is read in the studio
It does not go to a call centre or a lead desk. We read what you have written, and reply with a slot for the call.
A video call with Ar. Pooja Kothari
You take us through the plot, the sanctioned plan or the flat, on screen. She asks what the home has to do for your family, and tells you how she would approach it.
A clear next step, in writing
You get the scope as we understand it, and a sensible sequence for the work. You also get an honest view on whether Aalekh is the right studio for this project. No fee talk on the first call.
Where we are
Visit the studio.
Our studio is in Basavanagudi, a few minutes' walk from Gandhi Bazaar. It is a working studio, not a showroom. Visits are by appointment: tell us you are coming and we will keep the time free.

Bring what you already have: the old drawings, the khata and sanction papers, or photographs of the flat. We reach Hanumanthanagar, NR Colony and Shankarapuram on foot. Chamarajpet, Thyagarajanagar, VV Puram and Jayanagar's first blocks are a few minutes further. More on the neighbourhood is on our Basavanagudi page.
If you would rather not travel, nothing is lost. We are set up to work over video, and owners living abroad run whole projects that way.
Is this a fit?
Who the call is for.
Worth booking if…
- You have a home, a flat, a plot or an office in Bangalore or near it. You have a decision to make about it.
- You are an Indian owner living abroad, planning a build or a renovation here.
- Your family is weighing up renovating what you have against rebuilding it.
Probably not, if…
- You want one piece of furniture designed or made.
- You want floor plans or a per-square-foot number over WhatsApp before anyone has looked at the site.
- You are price-matching a modular catalogue quote.
Questions
Before you book the call.
Is there a fee for the first video consultation? +
The first call is a conversation about your project, not a sales call, and we do not discuss fees on it. What it costs to work with us comes later and in writing, once the scope is clear enough to price honestly.
How long is the call, and what should I have ready? +
One sitting, long enough to go through what you have and reach a view. Bring whatever exists: the plot or site details, and the sanctioned plan or the builder's floor plan. Also bring photographs or a video walk through the flat, and a rough sense of when you want to start. If you have none of that, come anyway. The call is more useful with drawings, but it works without them.
Do you take projects outside Bangalore? +
Yes. We work across Bangalore and South India. We also run projects remotely for Indian owners living abroad, with video reviews, walkthroughs before spend and written stage sign-offs. How that works day to day is set out on our page on remote projects.
How soon can you start? +
It depends on what is already on the boards. The studio is small on purpose. It runs one project per designer at a time. So we would rather tell you honestly on the call where you would sit in the queue. We will not promise a start date we cannot hold.
Can I meet in person instead? +
Yes, at the studio in Basavanagudi, on Krishna Rajendra Road near Gandhi Bazaar, by appointment. Video is usually the faster way to have a first conversation. An in-person meeting earns its time once there are drawings on the table.
