Why architect-led
The plan is fixed before a single shutter is quoted.
Most interior problems in a Bangalore flat are planning problems wearing a finish. A dark passage, a kitchen with no working triangle, a bedroom that loses its cross-breeze the day you close the wardrobe. We solve those on paper first.
- ALight and air before looks. We map how sun and breeze move through your unit and plan around them, so the home stays comfortable through Bangalore's long mild season with less reliance on air conditioning.
- BStorage that disappears. Indian homes carry more than most, so we plan generous, concealed storage into the architecture rather than bolting on cupboards at the end.

Are you interior designers or an architecture studio? +
Both. Aalekh is an architect-led studio, so your interiors are planned with the same discipline as a building: light, ventilation, storage and circulation first, finishes second. Pooja Kothari, our Principal Architect, reviews every home before it ships.
Do you take on the full home or only a few rooms? +
We prefer the full home so the language stays consistent from the entrance to the last bedroom, but we do take single spaces such as a living room, kitchen or a parent's room when that is the real need.
How are you different from a modular factory chain? +
Chains sell you a catalogue and a factory line. We design to your family, your plot and your light, then detail bespoke joinery and source materials to suit. You are not fitted into a standard shutter size.
Can you work with our existing furniture and pieces? +
Yes. Heirloom pieces, art and furniture you already own are often the best anchor for a room. We design around what matters to you rather than asking you to start from zero.
Do you handle execution or only drawings? +
We can hand you a documented design set to build with your own contractor, or stay on through execution with site visits, vendor coordination and quality checks. You choose the boundary on the brief call.
Can NRIs run a Bangalore interior project through you remotely? +
